Group Terms & Conditions

Quotes:

• The pricing in the original quote is valid for 14 days only.

• If the reservation is not confirmed within this period, prices are subject to change, and a new quote will be required.

• No rooms are held until a booking is confirmed.

Provisional Bookings:

• Can be held for up to 14 days upon request.

• If not confirmed within this period, including receipt of deposits, the rooms will be released.

To CONFIRM a booking:

• A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the reservation.

• Bookings made within 4 weeks of arrival must be paid in full at the time of confirmation, including those through third-party sites such as Booking.com and Hostelworld.com.

PAYMENTS:

• Final payment must be made at least 4 weeks (28 days) before arrival.

• Failure to pay in full may result in cancellation, and any deposits will be forfeited.

CANCELLATIONS:

• Cancellations within 28 days of arrival will incur a 100% charge of the total booking cost.

• Cancellations outside this period will forfeit the 25% deposit but will not be liable for the remaining balance.

• Bookings via third-party websites are subject to the same terms, overriding any general cancellation policies they may display.

(Please note: Our Groups terms and conditions are written in the fine print of all the third-party website, so standard third party 48 hour cancellation options will NOT apply to your group. If you modify your booking after receiving these conditions, please note we will still treat it as a group booking and the above conditions will still apply)

MODIFICATIONS:

• Amendments to your booking are permitted up until the final payment is made.

• Once full payment is received, changes cannot be accommodated.

• Bookings made under a non-refundable rate on third-party platforms cannot be modified.

• Rooming lists will only be provided once full payment has been made.

INHOUSE RULES & CONDUCT

• A Security Deposit is required upon check in equivalent to €25.00 per person. This is to be paid in one lump sum as a cash deposit or as a credit card pre-authorisation on arrival. This is fully refundable once our house rules are strictly adhered to.

• One ‘leader’ needs to be nominated as the hostels main contact. This person will be asked to complete a Code of Conduct form on behalf of the Group and pay the above mentioned security deposit (Security Deposits are paid by credit/ debit card pre-authorisations only)

(This deposit is 100% refundable upon check out as long as the Code of Conduct has been followed and the building has not sustained any structural damage at the hands of your Group)

• Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the hostel. A fine of €150 applies for violations.

• Alcohol consumption is not allowed in bedrooms.

• While there is no curfew, all guests must respect quiet hours from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

• Only registered guests are permitted in the hostel; unauthorized visitors will result in eviction with no refund.

• Security passes must be presented when requested by staff.

• Hostel management reserves the right to remove any disruptive group members without refund.

By paying the 25% non-refundable deposit, the group organiser confirms acceptance of these terms and conditions specific to The Dawson Hostel Galway.
